So I picked up my car from BK Industries last week. Hadn't driven it since October.
He raised it up to save my oil pan and transmission. I figured there's no point in lowering it back down until I put my new coilovers on. This thing really needs body work and paint.
I made a very dumb call during the swap. I figured, "the stock clutch looks good and it should be able to handle a stock motor with bolt ons just fine." The clutch started slipping on the first day.
On the second day, Pete and I were headed up the mountain for a bon fire. I decided to drive the s14 but take it eeeezzz. I wasn't drifting or doing sweet gun its. 5 minutes up the hill (just after putting gas in) the fuel pump dies. Brand new Walbro's apparently last a full 50 miles. So I hopped in his car, bon fired, then picked up my mom's van to tow it off the mountain.
I kept it at Pete's for a few days then Curt helped me tow it home. Fortunately my clutch and fuel pump replacements should be here this week. Hopefully I'll have enough time to get it all done this weekend.
